鉄釉を使用した独特の色合いが美しい盆栽鉢「IRON BROWN」。釉薬が濃い箇所は黒色で、薄い箇所はこげ茶色。手作業によって生じる表面の色の濃淡が力強い鉢です。

この鉢、「引き出し黒」と同じ釉薬を使用しています。焼き方が違うと、素材感や色味が全く異なるということを実証。
中心にある模様は蓮根をイメージ。縁起物だし、きっといいことがある。


☆「貼花文」と呼ばれる立体的な模様は、江戸時代に愛知県瀬戸市で広まった「呂宋」と呼ばれる焼き物の特徴の１つです。「呂宋」は当時とても人気の焼き物で、喜多川歌麿の浮世絵にも描かれています。

"IRON BROWN" is a beautiful bonsai pot with a unique color that uses iron glaze. Areas with thicker glaze are black, areas with lighter glaze are dark brown. The shading of the surface color created by hand gives it a solid and calming strength.

The Bonsai pot used the same glaze as ‘HIKIDASHI Black’, demonstrating that if the firing process is different, the texture and color will be completely different.
The pattern in the center is an image of a lotus root, auspicious food, and I am sure it will bring you a good luck.


☆ The pattern called "CHO KA MON" is one of the characteristics of the pottery called "RUSU", which was widespread in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture during the Edo period. "RUSU" was a very popular pottery at the time, and it is also depicted in the ukiyo-e prints of Kitagawa Utamaro.
